Good news. There is a quick and simple fix for Novation Nocturn script from Guille, so it can work in Ableton Live 9.6.
On newer Live 9.6 `Nocturn` is not visible in drop-down from Preferences dialog, because author provided *.pyc files (pre-compiled) for earlier Python version.
To fix it just replace pre-compiled (.pyc) with source code (.py files) so Ableton may re-compile them for new version of Python. Explained in details in the video below:
The script now shows nocturn in the drop-down from the Preferences dialog, but the blue hand is not following when different devices, other than the firs one, are selected. Could fix that also? Would be awesome!
@Stefan
Blue hand is a known issue. I can’t fix it, because I don’t have Nocturn controller itself.
You may try to ask for help here:

Could you fix it if you have a Nocturn?
Btw, I think you can use any controller assigend to the Nocturn script.

Of course.

Yes you may. But it’s really hard to debug issues like that with other controller, because midi event map is different. It’s huge waste of time and in the end of a day you never know does it really work.
Ok, where do I have to send the Nocturn?
Please don’t 🙂 Looks like demand on a fix is pretty big. I will consider to buy a controller for myself and come up with a fix. Before doing so I need to do some research about a nature of an issue.
I will ask people to give me clear steps to reproduce the bug here:
